Minoru Park proposal going local-viral

Alex Chuang's creative proposal garners positive, tearful reaction
YouTube proposal at Minoru Park

Metro Vancouver resident Alex Chuang's video proposal ranks up there in terms of creativity and it has a little Richmond twist.

On Feb.22 he proposed to his now fiance Susie, whom he met on Facebook, by having his friends lip-sync Stefano's 'Yes to Love' in Minoru Park in a video.

He also had friends from around the world hold signs proclaiming 'Say Yes!' and put them them in the video as well.

Chuang showed the video to Susie at Vancity Theatre.

Susie was technically tricked into going to the theatre, believing she and Chuang were wacthing a special screening of Captain America II. Little did she know Chuang had gotten the theatre to provide him with 30-minutes to propose.

Chuang showed the video (now posted on YouTube) of his friends urging Susie to get engaged and at the end he emerged from behind the curtian (or at least the corner) and proposed.

She said 'Yes!'

"What she got wasn't the first live lip dub, but one that I poured all my heart into making," said Chuang on YouTube.

Henry Zhang is credited with the cinematography.
