Joseph has been in the care of the BC SPCA at the Richmond Animal Shelter for almost two months now.
According to the shelter, he is feeling quite nervous in those surroundings and would do really well in a nice, quiet home.
Joseph, 7, found his way into the shelter’s care when he was found roaming in North Vancouver so his life prior to that is a mystery.
He arrived quite skinny, very frightened and has taken some time to get used to his new surroundings.
A guardian who is comfortable working on slow introductions would be best for Joseph, but he is starting to warm up to touch, enjoying soft strokes and affection.
Due to his previous stray history, we feel he would do best as an indoor only kitty.
Do you think you could be Joseph’s person? Here are some ways to find out:
1.) Visit the centre at 12071 No 5 road Richmond to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Tuesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or
2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
