Drivers planning to take the George Massey Tunnel between Richmond and Delta are warned of traffic delays for overnight lane closures starting Monday.
The southbound, slow lane on Highway 99 through the tunnel will be closed tonight and Tuesday night for BC Hydro repair work within the tunnel.
The slow lane through the tunnel will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. from June 10 to 12.
Drivers are reminded to obey signs and the direction of traffic-control personnel and to use caution near roadside workers.
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure said in a statement that there is no public safety issue.
"This is a continuation of work to address the temporary repair completed on March 20, 2024, which required an immediate slow-lane closure," reads the ministry's statement.
