Dear Editor,

My 92-year-old dad and I want to thank everyone who helped him after he fell off his wheelchair at the Westminster Highway crosswalk near the Bay on Friday, Aug. 12.

Two people called 911 right away and stayed with us until first responders arrived. Others offered support and helped to make him comfortable while he was on the ground.

Firefighters got my dad into the wheelchair and took care of him while we waited for the ambulance.

My dad’s recovering now and we are very thankful to everyone.
