A Richmond organization is donating “cuddly friends” to help kids, who can’t see their friends, feel less lonely this winter.

The Richmond Dragon Masters Club, an organization focusing on helping people improve their public speaking skills, donated 35 teddy bears to Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives (RCRG) on last Friday.

RCRG will then distribute the bears to kids in Richmond.

Richmondite Dave Rogers, a member of the Richmond Dragon Masters Club, said a teddy bear can give warmth and comfort to a child during these challenging times.

“All children need a ‘best friend,’” said Rogers.

“Although they can’t socialize with others (in person), a teddy bear can help children stave off loneliness and make them feel hopeful about the future.”
