Kudos: Richmond manufacturing company donates 100,000 masks to the city

The City of Richmond will help distribute those masks.

Things might slowly be going back to normal with the continuous rollout of vaccines, but mask donations see no end in sight.

The City of Richmond received a donation of 100,000 face masks Thursday from a local manufacturing company.

To show support for front-line workers, Salus, a Richmond-based surgical mask manufacturer, collaborated with the Rotary Club of Richmond Sunset to make this happen.

“We feel that it’s our duty to give back to our community and support the City of Richmond’s full dedication and efforts in keeping its COVID-19 front-line workers safe,” said Horace Liu, CEO of Salus, adding the city will handle distribution.

“We are bringing locally made PPE to help local groups in need,” said David Ip, president of the Rotary Club of Richmond Sunset.
