The victims of a "holistic healer" who nearly killed a woman with arsenic poisoning will get some financial relief, thanks to the B.C. government.

Selina She Yin Tsui allegedly charged tens of thousands of dollars for "healing" treatments between 2000 and 2004, which included dosing one woman with arsenic to the point of paralysis and cardiac arrest.

Tsui even promised to bring some of her clients back from the dead.

Two of Tsui's Richmond condos were sold and five victims will share a total of $340,000.

The victim who was poisoned by arsenic and rendered a quadriplegic, and wishes to be identified only as E.L., is among those who will receive some compensation.

Richmond RCMP conducted an extensive investigation but Crown counsel concluded there was no substantial likelihood of conviction on any criminal charges.

Tsui had no medical training and was not registered to administer health treatments in B.C.

The victim E.L. was rushed to hospital after taking concoctions prepared by Tsui that were billed as mushrooms and herbs.

E.L., who had paid Tsui more than $400,000, was given only a five per cent chance of survival.
