A power outage resulted in the temporary closure of Gulf of Georgia Cannery on Wednesday afternoon.
The Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society posted on Twitter that they are currently closed due to a power outage in Steveston and apologized for the inconvenience.
A staff member at the Cannery confirmed with the Richmond News that power went out around 1 p.m. , and they hope to resolve the issue soon.
According to the BC Hydro website, the outage is affecting 76 customers in the area west of No. 1 Road, south of Moncton Street, east of 4th Avenue and north of Bayview St.
The cause of the outage is still under investigation, but BC Hydro crew is on site and estimating that power will be back on around 3:20 p.m.
