Fitness classes offered as part of a nationwide challenge
Outdoor Richmond fitness classes
The City of Richmond is continuing to offer more recreational sessions with outdoor group fitness classes offered through Community Centres across the city.

The City of Richmond is taking part in a Canada-wide initiative to get communities moving next month.

As part of the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge, a Canada-wide initiative, several outdoor and virtual fitness activities are being offered to encourage communities to “sit less and move more” throughout the month of June.

Registration for these fitness classes is still underway.

Meanwhile, the city is opening up their registration for fitness classes at community centres across Richmond starting Tuesday, May 25.

Classes being offered include east into fitness, dance fit, total body condition, cycle fit, stroller fit, yoga and more.

Pre-registration for all classes is required in order to follow health and safety protocols during the pandemic. No drop-ins will be accepted.

Interested community members can register online using their MyRichmond account or calling the registration centre at 604-276-4300 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
