Traditional Chinese dresses worn in beauty pageants over the years will be displayed at Aberdeen Centre this weekend.

The exhibition is held by Fairchild TV, and qipaos showcased will include those from the very first Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant back in 1995 to the most recent one last year.

Attendees will also get to see the winner's tiara, sceptre, and cape up close.

For Richmondites who are interested in learning more about the pageant, winners from 2021 along with staff members will be at the exhibition at 2 p.m. to share tips for competing.

Applications are now open for this year's Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant, and those interested can apply online at www.fairchildtv.com.

The exhibition will run from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 at Aberdeen Centre.
