Erratic driver caught in multiple hit-and-runs in Richmond and Delta

One person has been arrested after multiple hit-and-run incidents and a chaotic car chase involving the same vehicle along Highway 99 from Richmond to Delta this afternoon.

One person has been arrested after multiple hit-and-run incidents and a chaotic car chase involving the same vehicle along Highway 99 from Richmond to Delta this afternoon.

According to News1130, Mounties said Deas Island Traffic Services, Delta Police, and Richmond RCMP received multiple 911 calls about an erratic driver on the highway around 3:20 p.m.

A Dodge Ram pickup had collided with multiple vehicles as its driver continued south on the highway before exiting onto Highway 17 towards the ferry terminal.

According to tweets from Lasia Kretzel, a witness saw the truck hit four vehicles before Steveston Highway, lost a wheel before heading into the Massey Tunnel and hitting a couple more cars before stopping at 56 Ave and Highway 17 in Delta.
