Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work from May 31 to June 7.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
May 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 15 customers at:
- 10320 to 10511 Reynolds Dr
May 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Rescheduled from April 28)
Pole replacement will affect eight customers at:
- 9080, 9100, 9102, 9120, 9131, 9151, 9171 and 9191 No. 4 Rd.
June 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pole replacement will affect 37 customers at:
- 11220 2nd Ave.
- 3711, 3720, 3731, 3751, 3771, 3780, 3786, 3800, 3806, 3811, 3820, 3822, 3831, 3839 and 3851 Hunt St.
- Apartment # 101 - 307 at 11119 No. 1 Rd.
June 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect nine customers at:
- 5831, 5840, 5851, 5860 and 5871 Kozier Pl.
- 10575, 10577 and 10582 Kozier Dr.
June 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 11 customers at:
- 4740 - 4851 Princeton Ave.
June 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 11 customers at:
- 6311, 6331, 6351, 6371, 6391, 6411, 6420, 6431 and 6440 Coltsfoot Dr.
- 4680 and 4700 Larkspur Ave
June 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 16 customers at:
- 1660 Bridgeport Rd.
- 1751 - 11831 Voyageur Way
June 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 6 customers at:
- 6431, 6440, 6451, 6460, 6471 and 6491 Mara Cres
