Police and the City of Richmond are teaming up to offer local youth an opportunity to participate in this years RCMP Summer Youth Camp.
The camp is open to Richmond students in Grades 4-7 and will set the stage for youth to interact with police officers up close.
Participants will learn about police work, specifically the history of the RCMP, crime scene analysis, drill and deportment, law and physical education.
The camps take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 26 at the South Arm Community Centre, Aug. 14 at the Cambie Community Centre and on Aug. 21 at the Thompson Community Centre. The cost is $20, which includes a T-shirt and pizza lunch.
