After being blessed with warmer weather and unexpected sunshine throughout last week, Richmond is expecting clouds and periods of rain to return starting Monday.

According to Environment Canada, rain is in the forecast for the whole day on Monday before it clears up Tuesday morning.

Clouds will roll in again on Wednesday before periods of rain are anticipated to return Thursday through Saturday.

The rain is expected to stop by Saturday evening and remain cloudy into Sunday.

This week will experience temperatures with a high of 16C during the day and a low of 7 at night.

Environment Canada's historical data shows that between 1937 to 2013, the greatest rainfall on this day was 1981 which recorded 25.4 millimeters of rain.
