City of Richmond sets date for 2022 municipal election

The City of Richmond has set a date for the next municipal and school board election – Saturday, Oct. 15.

Richmond residents will once again be asked to vote for a mayor, eight councillors and seven school board trustees.

All eligible voters are asked to register through Elections BC, where they can find out if they are already on the voters list using the “Am I on the Voters List?” search on the City’s website.

Eligible voters will be able to vote in-person at their designated voting place on General Voting Day or at any of the advance voting locations which will be offered over five days (Oct. 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8).

A number of accessible voting opportunities will be available during this election, including curb-side voting, mail ballots and an accessible ballot-marking device at city hall during advance voting.
