This Halloween, The Zone Bowling Centre will be full of ghostly and spooky apparitions.
The centre's 2nd Annual Cosmic Boo'Ling Food Drive happens this Saturday, Oct. 29.
The bowling centre has been transformed into a frightfully fun place with Halloween music, cosmic lights, fog, glowing balls and pins.
"We wanted to provide a safe, but fun environment for children between the ages of five to 12," said Liesa Billings, spokesperson for The Zone Bowling Centre. "Last year, it was just a fun event, but we wanted to get more involved in the community so we decided to host a food drive - 50 per cent of the food at the food bank actually goes to children."
Children and their parents are encouraged to bring a nonperishable donation to the bowling alley and the donations will be distributed to the Richmond Food Bank.
"An added bonus is that the Big River Brew Pub next door will reward the food bank by matching our weight in donations," said Billings.
"It's about teaching kids to help other kids right here in their own community."
The Zone Bowling Centre's 2nd Annual Cosmic Boo'Ling Food Drive happens this Saturday, Oct. 29 from 5 to 9 p.m., for children ages five to 12.
"Many of our staff will be dressed up, and we encourage our little bowlers to dress up as well," said Billings.
Tickets are $5.69 and bowlers receive a candy bag filled with goodies, a glow toy, two video game tokens and a free bowling pass for their next visit.

Meanwhile, the London Heritage Farm House is hosting a Halloween Tea on Sunday, Oct. 30.
If you are lucky you might get a glimpse of its resident ghost. There is a plethora of claims by family members, volunteers and London Heritage Farm House Society members alike that the ghost is that of matriarch Henrietta Dalzeil London.
Henrietta married Charles London on Aug. 11, 1888 and they went on to have eight children.
She was a devout woman, one who was also very much the lady of the manor, over-seeing all aspects of the running of the home and lands.
At 50, she died of breast cancer on Oct. 8, 1916. As sick as she was, says Jane MilinaDunn, London Farm House weekend supervisor, Henrietta prepared the whole family for her death.
It's also been reported that others have heard organ music being played, even though there isn't an organ in the house.
Other members of the society have also witnessed a strange presence, a shadowy phantom in the upstairs bedroom window.
"Many have said that when they have looked up to the bedroom window, they see a shadow of a woman walking by," MilinaDunn adds.
"No one feels particularly scared, we all feel it's Henrietta taking care of the farm ... she died peacefully so we don't believe she's trying to harm anyone."
The London Heritage Farm House hosts a Halloween Tea on Sunday, Oct. 30 from noon to 5 p.m.
Enjoy a full tea with tea or hot chocolate, a scone and other homemade Halloween goodies for $8.50 per person in its quaint tearoom in the London Heritage Farm House, decorated for Halloween.

- The City of Richmond hosts the Halloween Fireworks Festival on Monday, Oct. 31 from 6: 30 to 8: 30 p.m. in Minoru Park, 7191 Granville Ave.
This is a free event for the whole family. There will be a live DJ, magician, costumed performers and fire jugglers to set the stage for a spectacular fireworks display.
