Updated: Man pleads guilty to obtaining money by 'false pretence' in Richmond

A sentencing date has been set for June 21.

A man has pleaded guilty to five counts of obtaining money by "false pretence" and will be sentenced on June 21.

All five counts are for obtaining money in excess of $5,000.

The five counts – involving all together 10 people - took place between April and July 2018.

Yi Li Yang pleaded guilty on May 18, and is scheduled to be back in Richmond Provincial Court on June 21 for a sentencing hearing.
