Update: Massive tailbacks cleared in Richmond after Arthur Laing accident

Drivers on the Richmond side of the bridge were backed up all the way to the No. 2 Road Bridge

The massive tailbacks in Richmond on Tuesday morning have been cleared from the Arthur Laing Bridge and Russ Baker Way.

Drivers were earlier being advised to steer clear of the area this morning, after a crash northbound mid-span.

The accident happened at around 8 a.m. and traffic was heavily backed up on Russ Baker Way, all the way to the No. 2 Road Bridge as a result.

A stall on Russ Baker Way at Gilbert Road at around 9:45 a.m. added to the miserable commute.
