A Richmond News reader has taken umbrage at the quality of proofreading on a sign erected to inform visitors of the history of Steveston's Scotch Pond. Photo submitted Leslie Tallosi was walking in Garry Point Park recently when he came upon what he calls "a travesty."
It was a city sign informing people about the landmark Scotch Pond.
"Am I the only one to notice this travesty at Garry Point Park? "To think that we had to pay for this sign and that it passed through many hands before being placed here and not one person noticed three English mistakes," Tallosi wrote in a letter to the News, along with a photo of the sign.
"This is getting all too common and whomever made this should be publicly embarrassed," Tallosi added.
