Two of Richmond’s spray parks have reopened, just in time for the weekend.

A fire set early Friday morning not far from Blundell elementary may be the work of a serial arsonist, according to Richmond RCMP. Police say they responded to a bush fire along the edge of Blundell Park at approximately 4:30 a.m.

A half dozen lifeguards were practicing rescue techniques at Steveston Outdoor Pool on Friday in preparation for Monday’s re-opening of the pool with new COVID-19 protocols in place even while saving someone’s life.
