301 Richmond-Brighouse bus doubling Saturday service

TransLink is adding more service to several bus routes in the Lower Mainland, among them the 301 Richmond-Brighouse Station/Newton Exchange. There will be more frequent service on Saturdays, with buses coming every 30 minutes between 6 a.m. and 8 p.

TransLink is adding more service to several bus routes in the Lower Mainland, among them the 301 Richmond-Brighouse Station/Newton Exchange.

There will be more frequent service on Saturdays, with buses coming every 30 minutes between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. instead of every hour.

The enhanced service begins April 22.

The Richmond route is one of 17 bus routes throughout Metro Vancouver that are getting more frequent service this spring. The transit authority also announced seasonal increases in service to 12 more routes that travel to universities and colleges.

Here are the other routes major increases in service:

  • 250A Dundarave/Vancouver
  • 312 Scottsdale Road/Scott Station

These buses are also getting permanent improvements:

  • 84, 116, 229, 250, 240, 257, 310, 182, 319, 321, 323, 335, 351 and 640

These buses serving post-secondary institutions are getting seasonal upgrades:

  • 9, 19, 23, 28, 42, 125, 130, 150, 236, 258, 480 and 620
