Twenty new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Richmond over the past week, according to the B.C. Centre for Disease Control.
The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic is 136, up from 116 last week.
This is a total of 23 new cases over the past two weeks.
COVID-19 cases have been on the rise over the past few weeks, with Dr. Bonnie Henry reporting Thursday there were 62 new cases in B.C. over the past 24 hours but no new deaths.
Across the province, there are 21 people in hospital and seven in intensive care.
There have been several cases in retail stores, a sports facility and a case at Steveston Outdoor Pool, although this was not confirmed by the City of Richmond.
Those who have symptoms can get tested at the Richmond Assessment Centre at 6820 Gilbert Rd.
