1. Cello Quartet: Saturday, Jan. 21: Richmond’s World of Music and Arts is welcoming the Vancouver Cello Quartet (Brian J. Yoon, Kevin Park,  Cristian Markos, and Lee Duckles) to a special concert Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. at their performance location at 6160 London Road. The program includes famous opera excerpts, Ravel’s Bolero, Piazzolla’s Tangos, Beatles’ medley and other great musical gems. This is definitely a concert for the whole family to enjoy. 2. Walk Richmond: Saturday Jan. 21: Think you know all about Richmond? Well, stretch your legs and gain some more local knowledge during the Walk Richmond South Dyke Trail event on Jan. 21 from 10 – 11 a.m. Overlook the river, Ladner and Mt. Baker on this picturesque route that heads towards the sport fishing pier along the South Arm of the Fraser River. Meeting spot: Parking lot across from London Heritage Farm House (6511 Dyke Road). 3. Art gallery Family Sunday: Sunday, Jan. 22: Visit the Richmond Art Gallery (7700 Minoru Gate) on Jan. 22 for the January instalment of the Family Sunday event. From 1 – 4 p.m. there will be a series of fun, wearable art projects inspired by the work of Meryl McMaster. Create a new identity for yourself using a variety of materials for masks, hats, and other costume elements. There will also be gallery tours led by the Family Sunday Crew and a musical performance by the Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
