Richmond's Gateway Theatre is hosting another year of outdoor live performances this summer.
Gateway's Songs of Summer event will be held on the lawn outside the theatre with performances, family-friendly activities and an evening concert on Saturday Aug. 27.
From 2 to 5 p.m. local performers will be showcasing their musical talents and encouraging kids and families to sing and dance along with arts and crafts to follow.
The evening concert will start at 7 p.m. and the community is invited to bring a blanket, their dinner (or snacks) to enjoy the show.
Last year, Gateway hosted a series of outdoor concerts featuring local performing artists to bring together audience members and re-connect during the ongoing pandemic.
