Richmond's all-female community choir is warming up their vocals for the upcoming annual BC Culture Days this year.
Richmond Singers is performing for the community in an open rehearsal on Oct. 5 as part of the two-week long, Canada-wide celebration of arts and culture.
Community members can experience how new singers and established members learn new music, rhythms and harmonies at the open rehearsal under the guidance of musical director Fabiana Katz and accompanist Elizabeth Oh.
The choir formed in 1971 and has since performed regularly concerts and at community events throughout B.C. as well as in in Ottawa.
The open rehearsal will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. at Broadmoor Baptist Church at 8140 Saunders Rd.
