Free junk food gallery in Richmond

Fancy checking out giant bags of Doritos and candy?

A rather unusual display of art is going on show at a Richmond gallery.

The collection focuses on snacks and treats, with components of it being interactive.

Jeff Wilson’s “Super Filler” series features a variety of snack-themed paintings at Richmond’s Lipont Gallery on No. 3 Road, near Aberdeen station.

According to the Eventbrite page, the exhibit aims to “draw parallels between retail businesses and commercial art galleries’ operational nodes.”

Among the paintings at the gallery is an interactive portion featuring snack props such as White Rabbit candy, Hickory Sticks and even Doritos, along with shelves full of chips and even a shopping cart.

While the art exhibit is free, visitors need to register in advance online.

The exhibit is available until Jan. 5.
