Branscombe House artist-in-residence Rhonda Weppler is inviting members of the public to participate in the making of a small bronze sculpture, that’s anticipated to become a permanent artwork installed near the landmark property.
The sculpture, titled The Gathering, will take the form of a picnic basket overflowing with life-sized sculptures of small pieces of food. This work will “represent Richmond as an abundant bounty and an island, as well as reflect the multicultural nature of the area and its food.”
To contribute to this artwork, pre-register for one of four, free, two-session workshops, starting on Oct. 23, call 604-276-4300 or go online to Richmond.ca/Register.
