S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and the Richmond School District will be holding the annual Learning and the Brain Conference on Saturday, April 13 at MacNeill secondary, 6611 No. 4 Rd. at 8: 15 a.m.

The conference features workshops to help parents, caregivers and educators understand how children learn. For more information, visit http: //learningbrain. sd38.bc.ca. Richmond Public Library, in partnership with the Family Christian Fellowship, is offering free Income Tax Preparation and Filing clinics to help low income people file their income tax returns. The clinics take place at the Brighouse Branch, 7700 Minoru Gate on Saturdays March 9, 16 and 23, and April 6, 13, 20 and 27 between 10: 30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Sessions are offered in both English and Mandarin and are 45 minutes per person, couples must sign up for one time slot each. To register, call 604231-6413.

Looking for something to do on the weekends? Come enjoy an afternoon movie and coffee social on the second and fourth Saturday of every month from 2 to 4 p.m. at the South Arm Community Centre, 8880 Williams Rd., Seniors Lounge. MONDAY

Richmond Public Library is offering a free drop-in family games zone program at the Brighouse (Main) Branch, 7700 Minoru Gate until the end of March. TUESDAY

A Richmond transportation forum will be held on Tuesday, April 16 at Ralph Fisher Auditorium, Richmond General Hospital from 7 to 9 p.m. Sponsored by the Richmond Poverty Response Committee-Transportation Task Force, the keynote speaker will be Stephen Rees, who will be followed by a panel discussion about future transportation options in Richmond. Refreshments will be served at 6: 45 p.m.
