Britannia’s Maritime Heritage Tour:

Visit B.C.’s oldest shipyard community, discover the area’s industrial heritage and the stories of the people who once called this place home in an eight-acre waterfront park.

It’s a free 15-minute tour at Britannia Heritage Shipyard, 5180 Westwater Dr., available every day from 1-4 p.m. Check in at the visitor centre for a daily schedule or call 604-238-8050 for more information.

“Treading Through TIme” Self-guided Walking Tour:

Also at Britannia Shipyards, drop in to Britannia's Murchison's Visitor Centre and pick up a "Treading through Time" Walking Tour Map, then embark on a 90-minute self-guided tour of canneries, farms and homes of the waterfront village.

Event hours: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every week on Friday.

Thursday, Sept. 7

Artist Salon with Pennylane Shen:

The Richmond Art Gallery’s Artist Salon is a monthly program for artists to connect, network and learn from each other. The September session, Guest Presenter Pennylane Shen, will host a seminar Navigating the Art Industry: Professional Practices for Emerging Artists.

Salon takes place from 7-9 p.m. at Richmond Art Gallery, 7700 Minoru Gate. The free event is open for anyone over 18. Registration required via email to [email protected].
