The city of Richmond wants to make it easier for Richmondites to remember chores such as garbage and recycling pick up or when to pay your property taxes.
Enter its new software tool called ReCollect. When single-family dwelling residents register, they will receive free reminders about their garbage and recycling collection day.
Richmond residents can choose to receive reminders via email, text message, Twitter or a phone call. Residents can also set up the day and time they want to receive them.
Throughout the year, other messages may include other helpful pieces of information, such as changes in service.
