A charity shredding event is being held to benefit the Richmond Therapeutic Riding Association.
Due to the pandemic, the association – which provides a therapeutic riding program for children and youth with disabilities – has had to cancel many of its usual fundraising activities.
So it’s asking everyone to gather up all those old receipts, records, tax files, letters, bills, invoices etc. and bring them to its secure onsite mobile shredding truck on Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Arm United Church on the corner of Steveston Highway and No. 3 Road.
There is a minimum donation of $5 per box or grocery bag. This will be a socially-distanced event and there will be a drop box for cash donations only. (No change will be given)
