The fall round of Neighbourhood Small Grants in Richmond is now open for applications until Oct. 21, 2022.

Richmond Cares Richmond Gives (RCRG) is encouraging Richmondites to apply for the grant, which provides funding of up to $500 to support projects that build community connections.

Both in-person and online events are eligible, and the projects can be for sharing skills, meaning, or resources with the community.

The Richmond News reported earlier this year that RCRG gave out 45 neighbourhood small grants to applicants, amounting to $20,826. Some of these projects include Sophia Strong's community water carnival, Jane Lee's flower arrangement workshop and Bea Martin's nature drawing workshops.

In addition to the regular stream of grants, youth aged 12 to 24 years old may also apply for the Youth-Neighbourhood Small Grants, which also provides grants of up to $500.

Projects for the fall round are expected to be completed by March 15, 2023.

Details and the application form are available online and those with questions can contact Richmond's community coordinator Summer Zheng at [email protected]
