Richmond’s Community Mental Wellness Association of Canada (CMWAC) is hosting a talk on post-traumatic stress disorder in their weekly mental wellness support program for community members on Jan. 20.

The Heart to Heart program, also called “a psychological first aid station,” aims to provide a safe space for people who have questions and concerns on mental health.

CMWAC founder Ahlay Chin said the program was created to give “culturally and language appropriate” counselling and support while reducing social stigma around mental illnesses.

Professionals including counsellors, psychologists, doctors and psychiatrists will be on the virtual Zoom call to answer any questions.
