Pro-wrestlers from the ECCW team put on an amazing show at the Ukrainian Community Centre in aid of Kona, a sick Rottweiler in the care of RAPS

A packed-out Ukrainian Community Centre hall in Richmond bore witness to a fabulous pro-wrestling show in aid of a very sick, young dog called Kona.

Dropkicks for Kona, organized by the Richmond Animal Protection Society (RAPS) and the ECCW (Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling), managed on Friday night to raise around $2,000 to help one-year-old Rottweiler Kona get vital leg operations to help her lead a pain-free life.

RAPS still needs another $3,000 or so to pay for the surgeries needed for Kona.

RAPS gave special thanks to sponsors: ECCW; Richmond News; Molson; Yaletown Brewery; Lansdowne Centre; Urban Dance Company; Jazzercise; Denman Fitness and the Ukrainian Community Centre.
