Steveston Winemakers has donated 3,000 corks to the Richmond School District.
The business owners hope the donation will get the students’ “creative juices flowing” and “can’t wait to see how the students will apply the corks in their arts, math or science programs.”
The unused synthetic corks can be used to make sailboats, coasters, trivets, planters, wall art, backsplashes and furniture.
