Eight-year-old Carter and 11-year-old Rochelle were not only Ikea Richmond Soft Toy Drawing Competition finalists, they are also among the top 15 Canadian finalists.
Their drawings “Huggable Earth” and “Humble” (respectively) are now in the hands of Sweden for the global competition.
In recognition of their creative achievement, Carter and Rochelle each received a soft toy plus a $100 donation was made in their name to the children’s charity of their choice.
The Ikea Family Soft Toy Drawing Competition is part of the company’s Play Movement - a fun co-creation activity where Ikea family members were invited to submit their child’s drawing for a chance to have it turned into a real soft toy for the SAGOSKATT collection.
All proceeds of the collection sold at IKEA Richmond are donated to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
