From DIY signs for kids to farmers market, there's something for everyone in Richmond this weekend.

1. Wood carving show

Richmond Carvers Society is having its artistry in wood carving show this weekend for free.

Other carving grounds from the Lower Mainland will also be displaying their work.

Date: June 7 to 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

2. Art Sale

An art sale with a selection of more than three decades of oil painting and art on paper by veteran artist Marion Webber.

She specializes in nature-based art inspired by the West Coast.

Date: June 7 from 12 to 4 p.m.
Location: 3699 Sexsmith Rd. #102

3. Doors Open

The 18th annual Doors Open Richmond is returning this weekend with more than 50 sites across the city opening their doors for the public to explore.

From agricultural farms to religious organizations, the public can take a self-guided tour to learn more about the facilities that make up the city.

Date: June 7 to 8, all day

4. City bike tour

City of Richmond is hosting its free 23rd annual Island City by Bike tour. There will be an extended 25-kilometre route or a 10-kilometre scenic route for cyclists of all ages.

A barbecue will follow at South Army Community Park.

Date: Sunday, June 8, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

5. Multicultural community party

Richmond Baptist Church is hosting its annual community party with this year's theme as "building a diverse and health community."

There will be multicultural children's games, physical activities, free food, arts and crafts and a bouncy castle.

Visitors can expect puppet shows and musical performances as well.

Date: Sunday, June 8, from 2 to 4 p.m.
