One of the best symphony orchestras in the world is coming to Richmond next week.
The Kiev Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will perform at the Bethany Baptist Church next Monday, Sept. 17 on the sixth leg of its Western Canadian tour.
The guest conductor for the performance will be Trinity Western University professor Wes Janzen.
The orchestra and chorus will perform a variety of classical masterpieces, including that of Handel and Tchaikovsky. Also on the program will be Ukrainian folk songs and Slavic sacred a cappella.
The impressive line up includes a total of 90 world-class singers and instrumentalists.
Admission is free, but donations will be taken to support the evangelic and humanitarian missions of Music Mission Kiev, which the orchestra supports.
