The City of Richmond is looking to update its Cycling Network Plan.

Richmond residents are invited to give their feedback on how the city can update its cycling network.

People are encouraged to complete an online survey on where and why residents currently cycle between now and June 30.

Cyclists can share their comments and what they think are priorities for cycling on an “ideas board.” There is also a mapping tool for residents to suggest improvements on the current network.

The Cycling Network Plan update is aiming to guide and prioritize investments in new cycling facilities and safety improvements.

“The project will ensure the vision for cycling throughout Richmond reflects the aspirations of residents and reaffirms the priorities for investment in new and upgraded facilities in the years ahead,” reads a city statement.

Feedback from the public engagement would help shape an updated preliminary cycling network and cycling policies, which will then be the focus for phase two of the process later this year.
