Friends of Richmond family have kicked off a GoFundMe page after the sudden loss of a father-of-four last week.

Described as a “protector, provider and supporter,” Ray Ancheta passed away on Sept. 29 after a cardiac arrest.

The former warehouse manager at Greenlight Group left behind his family and four children, Eithan, 21, Sam, 16, Alexander, eight, and Althea, four.

“He was the best father and mentor any could ask for,” said Ancheta’s 21-year-old son, Eithan.

According to the GoFundMe page, funds will help ease any financial burden on Ancheta’s family.

“As Ray’s family is faced with the unimaginable, we come together in this most difficult time of grief and sadness to support them and help them survive this terrible time," read the GoFundMe page.

By Friday morning, the family had raised $6,881 out of the fundraising goal of $25,000.
