ADVERTORIAL
The work of Richmond Hospital Foundation today is rooted in over 25 years of leadership from community supporters who give of their time, experience, and knowledge. A prime example is Diane Dupuis. When Diane moved her company to her hometown of Richmond in 1987, she also brought her leadership to Richmond Hospital Foundation.
Diane is well-versed in financial mattersher company Dupuis Langen Financial Management offers services in corporate benefits, estate planning and wealth management. Knowing her connections in the community, Richmond Hospitals leadership approached her soon after her companys move and asked her to chair their first ever capital fundraising campaign. With Dianes help, $3-million was raised, which along with a partnership from the BC government, allowed the Westminster Health Building to be constructed.
I got hooked on the hospital foundation, Diane said. Sure enough, after breaking ground for the Westminster Health Building, Diane continued to volunteer as a Richmond Hospital Foundation board member.
Diane also helped organize the Foundations first Starlight Galafrom stuffing a long stretch of 350 goodie bags in her home to securing sponsorships and building connections in the community, her time and efforts went a long way for health care in Richmond.
In fact, Dianes support for the Starlight Gala continues to this daythe Dupuis Langen Group was the Dinner Wine sponsor for our most recent gala.
Diane also started the planned giving program at Richmond Hospital Foundation, educating others on how to benefit themselves, their families, and our community by planning a gift in their estate to Richmond Hospital. Diane organized seminars for potential donors bi-annually for five years and invited lawyers and accountants to share their expertise. Those who decided to leave a legacy with Dianes help continue to make a difference for Richmonds patients today.
