Richmond's Cambie Community Centre to get more upgrades to the tune of $20,000.

Several upgrades are underway in response to feedback from users of the centre, according to city spokesperson Clay Adams.

The city is adding soundproofing material at the doors between the studio space, gymnasium and Cambie secondary's kitchen.

More storage and equipment space in the fitness centre as well as illuminated "Cambie Community Centre" LED letters and lighting in the courtyard will be installed.

Adams told the Richmond News the courtyard lighting will help with wayfinding and visibility at night.

The upgrades are expected to be completed in the coming weeks.

Cambie Community Centre recently completed upgrades to its washrooms and change rooms last year.
