Brightly painted eggs and chocolate are things most people expect during Easter, but one resident found something more heartwarming on Friday.

Jake Lee, a Richmond resident and paramedic, came home to a gift dangling on an apple tree outside his house.

On the tree hung a red heart-shaped ornament with a white rabbit painted and the words “We give Thanks to Jacob for all your life-saving support” painted on it.

Lee took to Facebook to express his surprise and thanks with a picture of the gift.

“I came home today and found this in the apple tree out front of my house. Whoever you are, mystery heart-maker, I can’t thank you enough. Made my week,” said the post.

He told the Richmond News that “it was incredibly kind of this person to put the time and effort into (the gift) and it’s highly appreciated.”
