While People's Party of Canada candidate Ivan Pak was engaging with students at London-Steveston secondary this week, Green candidate Nicole Iaci (Steveston-Richmond East) has been garnering support from local First Nations.
Posters endorsing Iaci can be found at Lelem Express at the Richmond Cultural Centre and Watermania, cafes owned and operated by Kwantlen First Nation, based in Fort Langley, of which Iaci is a member.
Kwantlen's traditional territories extend to Richmond.
“My community has been amazing at showing their support for my campaign,” she said.
Iaci is a lawyer working on Indigenous issues.
