Daily update: Candidates hit the campaign trail

Elections Canada is updating its candidate information as candidates’ paperwork is processed. As of Friday, Sept. 20, the two Conservative candidates for Richmond’s ridings have been registered as candidates.

Elections Canada is updating its candidate information as candidates’ paperwork is processed. As of Friday, Sept. 20, the two Conservative candidates for Richmond’s ridings have been registered as candidates. Incumbent MP Alice Wong has registered as a candidate for Richmond Centre and Kenny Chiu for Steveston-Richmond East.

Steveston-Richmond East Green candidate Nicole Iaci dropped off her nomination papers at Elections Canada on Thursday. Iaci said she will not have a campaign office. Iaci also participated in a docuseries on CPAC called “Ridings to Watch” to be aired at a later date.

Campaign office up and running

Liberal candidate for Richmond Centre, Steven Kou, told the Richmond News he will be door-knocking this weekend. His campaign office is open at #200A- 3631 No. 3 Rd.
