A COVID-19 outbreak was declared at Fraserview Intermediate Care Lodge and restrictions to contain the virus were put in place on Dec. 12.

This is the second COVID-19 outbreak at the care home – previously restrictions to contain an outbreak were placed on the facility on Nov. 11.

According to Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), the outbreak is on the third floor of the facility at 9580 Williams Rd.

Richmond Hospital also remains under restrictions with outbreaks in three areas, 4N, 3S and 6N.

VCH stated that the hospital was reducing surgeries due to the outbreak, but this didn’t affect urgent and day surgeries.

The hospital has been on outbreak restrictions since Dec. 3.
