Several workers at two Richmond Shoppers Drug Mart locations were tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.

Loblaw Companies Ltd., the chain’s parent company, announced on its website that two employees at the Richmond Centre location, 6060 Minoru Blvd, and an employee at the location in the Olympic Oval area, 5555 Gilbert Rd., tested positive on a "presumptive test for COVID-19."

Employees at the Richmond Centre location last worked on Dec. 9 and 12, while the employee at the Gilbert Road location last worked on Dec. 14.

This is the second and third case of exposures to the coronavirus at the Richmond Centre location with the first being in late November.

“In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores,” Loblaws stated on its website.
