Richmond is launching a new strategy aimed at building up the city’s art community.
The Richmond Arts Coalition and City of Richmond Arts Services are hosting the official launch event for ArtWorks: Richmond Arts Strategy 2019-2024 on Oct. 26.
Artists, makers, cultural organizations and the public are invited to the free event to talk about the strategy and to connect with one another.
Attendees can expect a short presentation that will give an idea of how the strategy can help empower ideas, people and resources for the arts community to advance in Richmond.
The strategy was a result of 18-months of extensive community engagement and consultation which was endorsed by the Richmond City Council in the past summer.
The event will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lipont Place, 4211 No. 3 Rd.
