Maktab Tarighat Oveyssi (MTO) Shahmaghsoudi School of Islamic Sufism, a global non-profit organization, donated care packages to nurses at Richmond General Hospital (RGH) in commemoration of International Nurses Day and National Nurses Week.

The care packages were filled with hand-sewn scrub caps, snacks and thank you cards written by children from MTO’s Vancouver centre and were delivered on Tuesday.

Catered lunches were also donated and delivered to RGH along with face shields that were made by volunteers at MTO.

“It takes a special kind of person to do what you do,” said MTO in a thank you card.

“You put your life on the line to save lives and for that, we are eternally grateful.”

Richmond Hospital is one of many hospitals and healthcare centres in the Lower Mainland who have received these care packages from the organization.
