MONTROSE, B.C. — A man has been charged with killing his estranged wife in Montrose, B.C. Police in the West Kootenay community say officers were dispatched Monday after a report of a man assaulting a woman on the front lawn of a home.

Alfred Henry John Charlie is charged in connection with the Aug. 9 death of Jordan Povse.
